The Goulter's story
The Goulter’s story began in 1997, rooted in a passion for creating premium vinegar products that support both your health and your home. Founded by Tim Goulter – a dedicated wine and vinegar maker – our brand has grown from a small family venture into a trusted name in vinegar.
Over two decades on, Goulter’s remains proudly family owned and operated from our home in sunny Nelson, New Zealand. In 2014, Tim’s nephew Charlie and his wife Trish came on board, bringing fresh energy to the business while continuing our family legacy – vinegar truly runs in our veins.
With sustainability at the heart of what we do, we’re committed to crafting high-quality, affordable vinegar products. As specialists in vinegar production, our name says it all – Goulter’s. From household favourites to innovative health blends, our flagship product remains our Certified Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, made using only the finest organic New Zealand apples.

Our Team
Charlie
As a second-generation vinegar maker, Charlie Goulter oversees the smooth running of both the factory and the wider business. He leads the planning and development of new products and handles quoting for potential overseas clients.
Charlie also trains staff in the vinegar-making process and is currently driving the expansion of our production facility to support future growth.

Trish
Trish leads our marketing, advertising, and sales coordination, ensuring Goulter’s stays connected with what customers want and need. She manages our social media presence and plays a key role in identifying new markets both in New Zealand and internationally.
With a strong focus on product development, Trish is passionate about growing our presence in the global vinegar market. She also works closely with Charlie on the future direction of the business, helping to shape strategies that support sustainable growth.
